A typical session


All our sessions are geared toward the individuals who attend them and as such there is no hard and fast rule on what a particular session will contain on any one day.

Swimmers are supported on a weekly basis according to their particular needs and personal objectives

There is no pressure to achieve any target so if you are having a "bad day" do not worry. You can join in or not as the mood takes you.


Starting warm up


We always start with a gentle warm up, some simple exercises to loosen up the joints and warm up the muscles. This will last 10 to 15 minutes and all exercises are adapted to suit individual needs.


Exercises


We have a variety of equipment for swimmers to use, from steps, to floats, to resistance apparatus. After the warm up these are available to anyone to try out and use. Instructors will be on hand to demonstrate the correct use of apparatus.


Water confidence


We will assess your ability and ensure that you are able to perform some simple safety routines. These include standing up from a floating position and walking through the water confidently. Again instructors are on hand to advise and help you to achieve these aims. The team will support you until you are happy you can cope in the water.


Learning to swim


If you always wanted to learn to swim and think you have left it too late give us a go! We have qualified swimming teachers on board to help and advise. You might not make the Olympics but it could be fun trying!


Distance swimming


Some of the more accomplished swimmers just come to get a few lengths under their belt in a safe and monitored environment. If that is what you want to do then give it a try. It is not a lane swimming environment but you will be able to get a few lengths swum.


Stroke improvement


Our qualified instructors are on hand to develop strokes and offer advice. Our combined years of experience allows us to adapt techniques and exercises to fit varying abilities and health conditions.
